About Us

Our Story

Some businesses are built in boardrooms.

Ours was built in grief.

Motion Memoirs was founded by two childhood friends who both know what it means to lose someone you love deeply.

When my closest friend lost his father, he wanted to honour him in a way that felt worthy of the man he was. Not a slideshow. Not a static photograph. Something that moved. Something that felt alive.

What he created stopped a room full of people in silence.

That moment changed everything.

Why We Do This

We started Motion Memoirs because we believe life's most meaningful moments deserve to be celebrated with dignity, beauty, and emotion — especially the ones we're afraid to forget.

When I lost my father, I understood that ache firsthand: wanting just one more moment. One more look. One more chance to say — this person mattered.

That feeling doesn't only belong to loss. It belongs to every chapter worth holding onto.

Our videos don't just display photographs.

They breathe life back into them.

Gentle movement. A thoughtfully curated soundtrack. A tribute that feels as meaningful as the moment it honours.

What We Do

We transform your cherished photographs into stunning, cinematic memorial videos.

Every video is:

  • Handcrafted with care
  • Set to beautiful, customisable music
  • Delivered fully remotely
  • Ready to share at services, celebrations of life, or with family
  • A lasting tribute to keep forever

Who We Are

We are not a faceless company.

My name is Jon, and Motion Memoirs is something deeply personal to me — built alongside a small, trusted team who care just as much about honouring your loved one's story as I do.

We are people who have sat with loss, who have felt the weight of grief, and who believe that honouring a life well lived is one of the most important things we can do for the people we leave behind.

We serve families across the United States and United Kingdom, fully remotely, with care and sensitivity at every step.

You Are Not Alone In This

If you are planning a service, a celebration of life, or simply want to honour someone you love — we are here.

We will handle everything with the care and respect your loved one deserves.
